Watersprite Lake!

This is one of the most scenic and beautiful hikes in the Squamish area. The views of surrounding glaciated peaks like Mt Garibaldi and the Mt Mamquam are outstanding as you hike through enormous stands of old growth forest towards the alpine.

Reaching the shores of turquoise Watersprite Lake makes an excellent day hiking destination. Make sure to bring your camera or phone. If you are lucky, you will be able to photograph Clark’s Nutcrackers, Whiskey Jacks, and the elusive Hoary Marmot.

Swim in a glacier fed lake if you can tolerate the cold!
