Needle Peak!
This is a beautiful granite peak within the Coquihalla recreation Area. Explore the North Cascades with lush green old-growth forests, cascading streams, and beautiful lush meadows.
Needle Peak is easily accessed from the Coquihalla Highway. The trail is 10km round trip rising 890m to a prominent summit with beautiful mountain and meadow views. Along the way you encounter two scramble sections involving 4th class terrain.
In order to keep you safe scrambling, your guide will use a short rope, helmets, and harnesses. The crux sections are short but add an element of exhilaration.
Itinerary:
Meet at Starbucks Coffee in Hope, BC at 7am.
Following introductions and waiver verification, proceed to the trailhead following your guide. The trailhead is located off the Coquihalla Highway. Exit at the Zopkios Brake Check 57km from Hope, BC.
Please Note: It is your guides discretion to turn around at any point depending on difficulty.
