Garibaldi Lake!

This is a beautiful hike on an excellent trail. You begin hiking in coastal old growth forest, rising gently into the subalpine zone by a series of well graded switchbacks. The trail eventually levels off as you pass by Barrier Lake on your way to the scenic Garibaldi Lake.

Garibaldi lake is a turquoise, glacier fed lake surrounded by glaciated peaks. Make sure to bring your camera or phone. If you are lucky, you will be able to photograph Clark’s Nutcrackers, Whiskey Jacks, and the elusive Hoary Marmot.

Swim in a glacier fed lake if you can tolerate the cold!
