Alpine Climbing!

Located in the Slesse basin in the North Cascades, this is an excellent, and technically easy alpine rock climb. Vancouver Mountain Guides were the first to pioneer and climb this route, making us experts. The trip begins by following a well marked, easy to follow trail into the alpine where you bivi near treeline.

Camp on perfectly flat boulders with an incredible view south and east to the Illusions, Nesakwatch, and Mt Slesse. Conveniently located nearby, a beautiful stream provides easy access to water. From camp, Crack Of Noon Club is only a 25 minute approach, allowing you to sleep-in before the climb - hence its name.

On day two, climb 10 pitches of clean alpine rock. Most of the climbing is in the 5.2-5.6 range with only two 5.7 crux moves on the first and last pitches. Enjoy climbing with a light pack since you rappel the route back to your boots at the base after topping out.

we have been known to cook blueberry pancakes and bacon on our alpine trips ;)

Itinerary:

Day 1:
Meet at Tractorgrease Cafe on the Chilliwack Lake Road at 7am. After introductions and a quick gear check you will drive to the trail-head. Hiking by 9am.

Reach the bivi site and set-up camp. Enjoy the alpine and review alpine rock skills for the climb.

Day 2:
Sleep in since the approach is short. Climbing by 10am. Top-out and rappel back down to the base. Pack-up camp and hike back to the cars by 5pm.
